Our Customized Approach

Our goal is to help you grab hold of your sense of control and rebuild your relationship with food, your body, and yourself. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we listen to you—your story, your needs, and your goals. From there, we develop a treatment plan that’s just as unique as you are.

By staying close to a psychodynamic approach, we work to understand the root of what’s going on. We address eating disorders from all angles: psychological, nutritional, and medical. We use proven, evidence based therapies, such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Family-Based Therapy (FBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

These therapies help you quiet the harmful voice of the eating disorder, while learning to understand and meet your emotional needs in a healthier way. Our goal is to improve your quality of life, help restore your confidence, and teach you the skills to navigate emotions without turning to destructive behaviors.

You don’t have to go through this alone. Let us help you find a way forward.

We Can Help You With...

Anorexia Nervosa

Anorexia nervosa is a serious eating disorder where people see themselves as needing to lose weight, even if they’re underweight. It’s not just about food or weight but also about trying to feel in control.

People with anorexia may eat very little, exercise too much, or both, which harms their body and mind. It often begins in the teen years and can be triggered by genetics, personality traits, or social pressures. Over time, it can cause extreme weight loss, weakness, and serious health problems. It can be fatal if left untreated.

Recovery is possible with the right help. Therapy can help change unhealthy thoughts about food and support healthy eating. It’s about more than gaining weight; it’s about building self-worth and finding joy in life. If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out is the first step to getting better.

Bulimia Nervosa

Bulimia nervosa causes someone to binge eat and purge. It can include vomiting, excessive exercise, or laxatives. The feeling of loss of control during binges and then guilt or shame afterwards is typical for people with bulimia.

Bulimia can affect anyone, but it usually starts in teenage years. It’s primarilary caused by one or more of the following; Social pressure, genetics, and body image issues can lead to an unfortunate series of events. When you binge and purge, your body suffers, causing dehydration, throat damage, dental decay, and even heart problems.

The right support can help you recover from bulimia. Therapy can address food and body image issues and build healthy eating habits. In recovery, you’ll learn how to deal with stress and emotions better.

If you or someone you know is struggling with bulimia, reaching out for help is the first step toward healing.

Binge Eating Disorder

Binge eating disorder is an eating disorder where people regularly eat large amounts of food in a short time and feel unable to stop, even when they aren’t hungry.

Unlike bulimia, there is no purging afterward. People often feel ashamed, guilty, or upset after binge eating. Adults are more prone to this issue. It can also be caused by genetics and emotional stress. Severe weight gain, early onset diabetes, gastric distress, and tremendous stress on internal organs, particularly the heart, can come from binge eating.

With the right treatment, you can beat binge eating disorder. Therapy can help people understand their eating triggers, manage stress, and develop healthier eating habits. It’s also about improving self-esteem and emotional well-being, not just changing food behaviors. If you or someone you know is struggling with binge eating, reaching out to our counselors is the first step toward recovery. Help is available, and healing is possible.
